Andrea is a contemporary fine artist currently living and painting by the shoreline in southern Connecticut. Growing up in rural Newtown Connecticut she spent many hours exploring her surroundings and capturing it on paper. Always knowing she wanted to be a professional artist Andrea attended Paier College of Art in Hamden Connecticut where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1985.
Following graduation Andrea worked for local design and marketing agencies as an art director, designer, and freelance comp artist. She took a little break from her career to focus on raising her family. Andrea still dabbled with art but it was mostly the crayon variety with her kids. In 2012 Andrea began experimenting with small format art. It ignited her passion to create knowing that she could start and finish a painting in small windows of time. Inspired by color and nature Andrea has developed an impressionistic style that is contemporary and fresh. With fluid brushstrokes and expressive texture she creates colorful and engaging works of art.
Her artwork is in numerous private collections throughout the United States and internationally.
