Andrea's lifelong dream was to become a professional artist. She was fortunate to have a family that fully supported and encouraged her to follow those dreams. Andrea received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Paier Colleger of Art in Hamden Connecticut in 1985.
Following graduation Andrea worked for local design and marketing agencies as an art director, designer, and a freelance comp artist. She took a break from her career to focus on raising her family. Finding her passion to paint again in 2012, Andrea began with small format art. These small works allowed her to start and finish a painting in a relatively small amount of time. Focusing mostly on animals for subject matter, Andrea loves to capture them in her own unique way. Over the past few years Andrea has developed an impressionistic style that is contemporary and fresh. With bold brushstrokes and expressive texture she creates colorful and engaging works of art.
Her artwork is in numerous private collections throughout the United States and internationally. She has also created many commissioned works of art.
Andrea currently lives and paints by the shoreline in Connecticut with her husband Brian of 26 years and her two children Ben and Maggie. Now that both children are in college there is more time to focus on her art and she plans on transitioning to full time artist in the near future. Dreams really do come true!
